- Aerate at least once annually in the spring or fall to improve root depth as well as air, water, fertilizer and nutrient flow for thick healthy drought resistant turf.

- Treat moss/ weeds 1-3 weeks prior to using aerator and thatcher.
- Use an aerator first to relieve soil compaction and improve root depth.
- Follow with Power Rake/ deThatcher to break up plugs and comb out thatch/moss/weeds.
- Rake up loose materiel and top dress aeration holes with sand, top soil, planting mix or steer mulch to further reduce compaction and increase drainage.
- Be sure to apply lawn seed @ 5 lbs per 1000 sq.ft. to avoid bare/thin spots.
